Transforming Motor Vehicle Accident Compensation Disputes

Reimagine the entire process, from filing claims to awarding compensation, to ensure faster and more efficient resolution of motor vehicle accident compensation cases in India.

About

Motor vehicle accident compensation cases account for roughly 10% of the total pending civil cases in India. Despite being low in complexity, it takes 2-3 years on average for citizens to secure compensation for death, disability and injury claims.

We studied the existing data, systems, process and policies to diagnose systemic challenges. We spoke to litigants, insurance companies, police officers, judges and lawyers to understand their pain points and needs.

We then collaboratively drew up a clean sheet design of the process: from the moment the accident claim is filed till compensation is awarded.

We developed designs and prototypes that can act as a starting point for any institution to transform how motor vehicle accident cases are resolved.
